csa: week 1.

thanks to the generosity of some friends & family, we joined serenbe farm's csa and enjoyed our first share today. i was first overwhelmed when i picked up two big bags of oh so many greens. 2 chard bunches, a spring onion bunch, a radish bunch, arugula, spinach, cilantro, garlic scapes and what looks like purple lettuce. phew. and that's just a half share.

first i tackled all the washing, drying & storing which took forever. by the end of the csa season in early fall, i should be a veggie prep superstar! after that chore was done, i still had to come up with a dinner plan. thankfully, i stumbled upon a creamed chard and spring onion pasta recipe by one of my favorite food bloggers who came to my rescue. dinner definitely made all the prep work worth it!

stay tuned for more csa adventures...
